It's that time of year for those impromptu holiday hangs, when friends drop in or pop by. Whether it's in the calendar or it's spontaneous, we have your checklist for how to pull it all together.
Today on the #geeedit, we're sharing all of the quick + easy ways to ensure your home is entertaining ready.
#1: Set The Mood:
If you only have a few minutes to prepare for a last minute guest, a great way to freshen up the space is to light a candle or spritz a new room spray. It takes two seconds and it will make a world of difference.
Whatever your thing is, food, great music, interior decor, your sense of humor, your conversational skills - play that up! Focus on what you're the most comfortable with, and your guests will gravitate to that. Not every aspect needs to be perfect.” - Celene Gee
#2: Stock The Pantry:
We're not saying to have a fridge full of groceries just in case anyone swings by, but it may be a good idea to stock up on any snacks like a couple different cheeses, crackers, fruit, nuts, your favorite healthy chips, dips and whatever else you fancy.
It's also a good idea to pick up some bottles of sparkling water and wine and pop them in the fridge so they're ready at a moments notice.

#3: Playlist + Flowers
A great playlist in the background during a get-together truly sets the tone. Whether it's a small and intimate gathering or it's blossomed into a dinner party, have a few playlist options ready on hand that you can select depending on the mood and energy.
Flowers really do create a beautiful visual, and they make your house or apartment really feel like home. No need for anything elaborate , but make it intentional. Chose one or two kinds of flowers in similar colors like cream, white, blush, soft pink or peach and add some greens for texture. Or you could try only greens which looks lush and gorgeous.

#4: Plan Your Looks
You may not know when folks will drop by but you can have a few go-to outfits at the ready. Having outfits planned will not only majorly come in handy for moments like these but they will make getting dressed everyday the easiest decision of your day. Our favorite pieces for entertaining are:
- A chic and easy slip dress for an easy + relaxed vibe

A super simple detail that goes a long way is to take items out of their containers and jars. Whether it's condiments, chips, or olives, putting them in small bowls instantly elevates the table and the vibe. It takes two seconds and truly makes all the difference.
