We've rounded up our top tips to energize, awaken and get ourselves moving in the mornings and throughout the day.

In addition to a nutrient-rich diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, we're all about embracing those mini moments - at any moment - that can help us achieve more optimal energy levels and keep us moving. It's always great to share these healthy hacks with friends or family that can help motivate us and keep us accountable. Let's do it together!

1. Try a cold shower:

Blasting yourself with some cold or cool water first thing in the AM will certainly have you wide awake and ready to take on your day. If this sounds too intense for your sleepy self, try a warm shower and once you regulate the temperature, start turning it down, making it cooler and cooler until you've hit your max. The icy water is so energizing and invigorating and for an extra treat, drop some essential oils into the shower before you get in to amp up the spa vibes!

#2: Ice Roll:

If you've never tried ice rolling in the mornings, prepare to be amazed. This tool not only feels incredible on the skin, but its benefits are truly incredible — it's like a massage and wake-up call all wrapped into one. Ice rolling wakes up the skin but also helps de-puff and boost circulation. If that's not enough, it also helps shrink the size of pores for smoother-looking skin!

#3: Get in your morning steps:

There's nothing we love more than achieving the accomplishment of 5k steps by 10AM. Heading out on a morning walk gets your day off to a purposeful start. Couple that with the fresh air, sunshine (hopefully!) and movement, and you're bound to have an amazing day.

#4: But first, water!

We all know how important drinking water is but did you know it's even more crucial to drink a full glass soon after waking up? If you think about it, our bodies haven't been hydrated the whole time we've been asleep so rehydrating ASAP is the way to go. To help you remember, keep a tall water bottle or glass next to your bed. Bonus points for adding lemon for extra Vitamin C and antioxidants.

#5: Turn up the tunes!

Nothing gets us moving quicker and feeling more energized than a great playlist. Pop in your headphones and blast some fun and uplifting songs to give you energy and get your toes tapping. Whether it's techno/house beats or you're chair dancing to the oldies, as long as it uplifts your spirit, it's doing what it's supposed to!

#6: Essential Oils:

They may be small in size but essential oils pack a punch. Refreshing and energizing scents like eucalyptus and citrus wake up our senses and can really help jump-start the day. You can add essential oils to your Vitruvi diffuser to envelop your space with the scents. Alternatively, put a few drops in the palms of your hands, rub them together and take some deep breaths to center yourself and prepare for a great day.

#7: Get your zzz's!

A good nights rest plays a huge part in your energy level during the day. Even if you aren't a morning person, getting a full 8 hours means you hopefully won't feel that mid-afternoon slump. If you need some help winding down in the evenings, start by limiting screen time and by brewing tea, taking a bath and doing some mindful movement or journaling.
