How To Set Yourself Up For Wellness

Wellness Week is back!

To start us off on the right foot, we're sharing all the ways you can get ready for a meaningful and well-balanced week.

It's all about finding practices that work for you and inspiring a more balanced lifestyle. we're here to share our best habits and top tips that help us feel our very best!

It's about adding in more of what will serve you and your health goals for a more balanced everyday.” - Celene Gee
It's All About Balance

Getting into a wellness frame of mind doesn't necessarily mean removing things from your routine. It's about adding in more of what will serve you and your health goals for a more balanced everyday. If you find you sit at a desk for most of the day, try adding in a 15-minute block in your calendar for a mid-day power walk. Add in a green juice or smoothie for a nourishing moment or take your evening skincare routine a step further by adding in some lymphatic drainage tools.

There are no rules here. You don't have to pick up every single wellness activity and have to love it. Try a few things here and there and you'll notice you lean toward some more than others and then those will become your tried and true rituals!

I've tried so many wellness practices and some I love and others I found weren't for me. The more you experiment with, the easier it is to find what suits you best.” - Celene Gee

Our Wellness Essentials

Meal Prep

If you know us then you know how much we love meal prepping. Trust us, prepping your food either on weekends or in the evenings for the next day or week ahead can really help you get ahead and make smart, nutritious choices.

Need to get inspired? Make it a fun event! Romantacize the process and make it part of your self-care routine. Listen to a podcast at the grocery store, then come home and turn on an uplifting playlist and dance around your kitchen as you meal prep.

Organizing your food for the entire week can seem like a large task. However, if you break it down and cook even just a few things ahead of time, it will take some of the pressure off. Things like roasted veggies, washed fruit, and cooked ground meat are amazing to have in the fridge ready to eat.

When I'm focused, I can get my meal prep done in 90 minutes. It's become a fun habit I look forward to!” - Steph Gee

Our Go-To Playlist

Get Moving!

There's nothing we love more than achieving our 10k steps everyday. The beauty of walking is that it's so simple and so effective. No matter where you are in your fitness and health journey, going for a walk will always make a positive impact in your day and life.

Not only is walking great for boosting energy but it also aids in digestion, helps with lymphatic drainage, improves sleep and reduces stress levels. We love making our walks as multi-purpose as possible. Walking is the perfect activity to do while passively doing something additional, such as listening to a podcast, talking on the phone, or making it social by inviting a friend to join you.

I love to go for a walk between calls or meetings to reset. It gives you a moment to reflect, explore creative solutions in your mind and refreshes you for the rest of your workday.” - Miriam Gee

Prefer to hit up a gym or fitness studio to get your movement in? Our go-to picks are Rachel Fitness for an amazing and efficient workout. If a slower flow is more your speed, pilates is incredible for sculpting and toning and is one of Celene's favorite workouts.

While we enjoy early AM workouts to boost our energy throughout the day, if you feel most energized in the evenings then go with it! Forcing yourself to be an early morning riser because it's trendy on social media won't create the longevity in your routine. It's all about finding what works for you and as long as you're moving your body and having fun, you're doing it right!

Check In With Yourself

Doing an internal check in and looking at your progress is huge when you have goals you want to reach. Make a note in your phone or even on a piece of paper and tick them off as you go along. Not only will it give you an incredible sense of accomplishment but it also holds you accountable. If you find you're not meeting your goal, it may be a good idea to dig a little deeper and find ways to work through what you feel may be hindering your progress.
