How To Keep Your Wellness Rituals While Travelling

How To Keep Your Wellness Rituals While Travelling

Holidays are a gift and are meant to be enjoyed.

They’re a time to switch off, explore somewhere new and indulge a little more than usual. But for many of us, the habits that make us feel our best at home are also the ones that help us feel good while we’re away.

For me, travel isn’t about staying rigid with routines – it’s about keeping a few small wellness rituals that help me feel grounded wherever I am. From packing supplements to choosing movement that feels natural while exploring, these are the simple habits I try to take with me on holiday.

Focus On Fresh, Local Foods

One of the best parts of travelling is experiencing the food culture of wherever you are. Rather than restricting anything, I like to think about adding in nourishing options when I can. Local vegetables, fresh fruit, seafood and whole foods are often easiest to find when you’re away anyway, especially in warmer destinations. I try to build meals around what’s fresh and seasonal while still enjoying the meals that make a trip memorable.

And when things feel a little off, having Arrae Bloat on hand is a go-to for helping settle your stomach and support digestion while you’re away.

It’s less about perfection and more about balance across the day.

Keep Movement Natural

Movement tends to look a little different on holiday, and that’s part of the joy of it. Instead of structured workouts, I focus on moving in ways that feel natural to the environment around me. Walking through a new city, swimming in the ocean, exploring markets or opting to walk somewhere instead of taking a taxi all add up. Spending more time outdoors and staying gently active often feels far more enjoyable than forcing a gym session.

Hydration First

Flights, sun, salty foods and the occasional extra cocktail can all leave you feeling dehydrated.

Drinking plenty of water throughout the day is one of the easiest ways to keep energy levels up and avoid that sluggish travel feeling. It sounds simple, but prioritizing hydration can make a huge difference in how you feel during your trip.

Recreate Your Evening Ritual

One of the things I try to keep consistent wherever I am is my wind-down routine. After a day of exploring, taking the time to slow down in the evening helps signal to your body that it’s time to rest. I like to bring a few familiar comforts from home, especially skincare that supports my skin after long days in the sun or travel.

The Gee Beauty Energizing Eye Cream helps to de-puff and refresh tired eyes after flights or full days out, while the Rose de Vie Hydrating Mask by Dr. Sebagh is perfect to sleep in when my skin needs extra hydration. I also love having the Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Essense Mist on hand to instantly cool and calm the skin after sun exposure.

At night, the Crown Affair Hair Oil helps restore and nourish, and the Antioxidant Lip Repair from SkinCeuticals keeps lips hydrated, especially in dry or warm climates. Finishing the day with a cup of Dr. Stolberg's Rest & Digest Tea is a simple way to relax and support digestion before bed.

Even small rituals like this can make a new place feel a little more like home.

Nourish Your Mind Too

One of the most valuable parts of travelling is the opportunity to truly switch off from work and daily responsibilities.

But I still like to nourish my mind in ways that feel restorative rather than productive. Reading a book, journaling, meditating or simply spending time in nature can create the kind of mental space that’s hard to find during everyday life.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your wellbeing is simply slow down.
