As we enter into a new season, we've called in an expert who lives and breathes all things style.

Today on the #GeeEdit Michelle Levine, director of 6 by Gee Beauty, is unpacking her recent L.A buying trip + sharing with us the trends, colors + inspirations she's brought back with her for fall.

Colors:

This fall I'm really feeling reds and browns. Bright red really had it's moment this summer and it's continuing into the new season. I've been seeing it translated on runways as deeper more burgundy reds which always look so chic and polished.

Personally, my favorite way to wear it is through a pop of color in the form of a sweater, shoe or purse. I love wearing a monochromatic outfit and adding in a statement piece to really bring the look to life and make it feel new and exciting.

Trends:

Here are a few more trends that I'm loving:

- Suede accessories - a pair of suede flats in bright red are a great way to take on two trends at once!

- denim on denim - a true classic but this season we're seeing barrel jeans + more structured denim jackets.

- chunky knits + cardigans - the more oversized the better!

Jewelry:

Because it's always about jewelry at 6!

my favorite fall jewelry trends are:

- sculptural earrings
- charm necklaces + layered pendants
- pearl accents
- bow detailing

My fall beauty picks:

Browns + earth tones have always made a reoccurrence come fall and I'm always into it. I love playing up those more neutral hues and bringing them into my makeup look and this year I'm going to be adding a pop of RED. Stay tuned to @geebeauty to be the first to know about new beauty launches!

Inspiration:

I'm recently back from a buying trip to L.A to meet with vendors and see what's new for the upcoming seasons. I always feel so inspired + energized whenever I come back from L.A - the energy, vibe and mood of the city is indescribable and it makes me realize I need to travel there more!
