#CeleneCuisine Sweet Treats


While we all try our best to maintain our wellness regimens, stay active, eat healthy foods while enjoying our favorite things, we can definitely get stuck in our "what to make" cooking routines. #CeleneCusine recipes are here to inspire new ideas, keep things fun in the kitchen, and to show you how to reinvent the most simplest of dishes.



After many requests for sweet treats, I'm sharing 2 of my favorite, simple recipes that satisfy my sweet tooth without too much sugar, and contain beauty-boosting, all natural ingredients.



Late Afternoon Beautifying Chocolate Smoothie 


This is my favourite healthy, quick and simple, satisfying sweet treat. 


| Plant-Based | Gluten Free | Serves 2 | Total Time: 5 minutes  |
Opt for Organic Ingredients


What You'll Need:
• 1 Scoop of WelleCo Chocolate Protein Powder (or your favorite plant-based, low sugar chocolate protein powder)
• 1 Ripe banana
• Optional: 1 scoop of Agent Nateur Holimane Hair Skin and Nails supplement with marine collagen and pearl powder. I've been using this for over 6 weeks, 1 x daily in my smoothies, coffee or soup and already notice stronger nails and more fullness at the roots of my hair!
• 1 cup of non-dairy milk - I'm using Macadamia Nut Milk with no added sugar
• Ceylon Cinnamon (Ceylon cinnamon has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits which can help support your immune system)
 Ice
 1 Cup of water




How to:


Step One: Add all ingredients into blender and blend on medium-high speed for a couple of minutes. Pour into a drinking glass. Serves approximately 2 people.

Roasted Apple and Cinnamon Crumble 



I love apples and cinnamon - always have. This is a healthy, simple and quick take on apple pie. You can double the quantities if you like, it tastes even better the next day right out of the fridge.



| Plant-Based | Gluten Free | Serves 4 | Total Time: 25-35 minutes  |
Opt for Organic Ingredients



What You'll Need:
• 3-4 of your favourite apples (I'm using Honey Crisp)
• Maple Syrup
• Your favourite granola or oatmeal mix (can be oats, almonds, raisins, shredded coconut flakes)
• Ceylon Cinnamon (Ceylon cinnamon has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits which can help support your immune system) 




How to:


Step One: pre-heat oven to 350 F degrees. Peel and slice apples. Saute them in a non-stick, oven-safe pan. (I don't use any butter or oil but you can add a touch if you like, especially if you're not using a non-stick pan).


Step Two: add 2 table-spoons of maple syrup. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon. If necessary you can add a few tablespoons of water for a slight "steam" effect.


Step Three: let the apples simmer and cook down for a bit. Sprinkle in your granola mix.


Step Four: add more cinnamon. Place in oven for 20 - 30 minutes depending on your oven, watching so it doesn't crisp or burn on the top.


Step Five: take out of oven and let cool. I like a squeeze of lemon on top to balance out the sweetness.


Step Six: eat on its own or add to some coconut yogurt or ice cream.
